New York I Love You and You’re NOT Bringing Me Down

September 29, 2013

It was a full one glorious New York day: warm weather + fall foliage just feels like magic. We tried to make the most of it.

We picked pumpkins.
Amos was, of course, very particular about the SIZE of his pumpkin, but apparently not the color. Oh well: there’s no bringing ME down today.

Next: al pacas.
PJ felt very strongly that he and this guy are hair twins. Can’t say I disagree.
pj lookalike Conversation in the car after the al paca ranch:
Amos: I want a al paca!
PJ: Yes! He could live in our house and be soft when we snuggle on the floor!
[ed: clearly, a guide-al paca in training]
Amos: Even his big yellow teeth are cute.
PJ: yeah….
Amos: as long as he doesn’t poop.

I had a similar dream when I was young:

I wonder how many little kids asked their parents for a pet llama after seeing this on Sesame Street?

With the aforementioned warm weather and fall foliage, we headed to Corbetts Glen. Pete wasn’t sure of the water at first
But soon enough, he was eager to get EVERYWHERE and resenting his leash!
Just like my kids.
Pete did a great job greeting people on the trail and he didn’t even maul any dogs: win. And now, just for fun, a picture of tails:
And when it came time for a posed picture, the dog was NOT the least compliant participant. He sat and looked at me like a pro! Seriously, I would rank him #3 in this picture, and he is only 3 months old. Impressive dog.
Maybe #1.

You are such a great parent. Sometimes I think of sending my two to you.
