We noticed as soon as we saw Lake Huron on the way, that these Great Lakes have beautiful water. I had always thought that Lake Ontario was a perfectly respectable Great Lake, but now that I have seen some others up close and personal, it turns out our Great Lake is a real under-achiever. Anyway, the beaches are equally as lovely, but I didn’t get many pictures because, you know, sand and cameras are a bad match. So: wonderful beaches, beautiful water. The only drawback seems to be that the water is mighty cold and the ambient temperature just didn’t mitigate the situation. That said, the kids didn’t seem to mind. They spent many hours digging, skipping rocks, jumping waves, and all that stuff you can do in warmer water.

You are so delicate. If the temperature had been higher, it would have been very refreshing!
