The Calm

July 21, 2013

After leaving the reunion on Sunday, we stopped at the This is the Place Monument on the way to our hotel. To my knowledge, I have never been there. I have certainly never seen it in it’s current state. Around the monument, they have built a village by relocating pioneer-age buildings from around Utah. On other days of the week, I think lots of these buildings are open, but on Sundays it is pretty dead. we did, however, take a fake train ride around. I’m not sure why it can’t be a fake covered wagon, but whatever.
