I like to keep a full schedule of Christmas activities. Some we repeat every year, like this drive-through Nativity which is pretty awesome. Some we sample once and never return. One particular event has been on my radar for a few years, but I have never been able to schedule it before (2 consecutive years of afternoon Church!). This was my year! I still almost didn’t go, though, because, well, I was afraid. Afraid it would be long, as The Messiah is wont. Afraid it would be packed. Afraid there would be no parking. Afraid I wouldn’t get the score. Afraid it was too far.

Friends: I was wrong on all counts. It was fantastic! Short, sweet, and made all the better by the addition of friends. I may have to make this a tradition and skip afternoon Church next year! Plus, my kids have been singing the Hallelujah Chorus all week–it’s pretty impressive.

    Pres. Jensen every year asks for us to find some way to do something like this…
