Accomplished

August 28, 2010

This really wouldn’t be post-worthy if it weren’t so darn rare, but I completed some projects today. Are you cheering? Well direct that towards my dad, because HE was the one who really did this. He and his drill and level.

My little kitchen has nowhere to perch, and I find that I avoid spending time there, as in cooking and cleaning, consequently. This is probably going to change everything overnight.

Yup, now I can cook and clean up a storm because I have a lovely little resting place. Hurray! Starting…tomorrow.

In an effort to keep track of all those little pieces of information…

…a cork board! I realize that isn’t earth-shattering; it’s just that this particular board has been leaning against the wall for these many months. So I am ecstatic to have it done. Thanks, Dad!

I love anyone with tools who is willing to do crap like that for me.

    I love that idea!

It’s like a ‘Murphy table’…I googled it and it turns out there is interest in your concept…have you thought about marketing that idea?

    Love the table.

I cannot claim credit for the table: it’s from Ikea. My kitchen just isn’t big enough to have it ever there. And, of course, if it was always there, I would pile it up with this and that. So I hope it will remain pretty clear and we keep it down when it is not in use.

What an excellent space saving idea!

Hmm, your second picture inspired me….. What if the table folded up, rather than down the wall (so that the underside of the table was showing) and you set that up as a corkboard? It might sit a bit low, but then you have a corkboard/table and kitchen space all in one!
