The Visitors

August 20, 2010

We also enjoyed some visitors. The best part about our visitors is that they aren’t visiting us, they visit my parents. So we don’t actually have to do any of the work associated with visitors. We just play with them.

There were cousins

and grandmothers

Lots of aunts too, although I failed to photograph them. Ah well, they’ll just have to come back.

Wait! If you look at the Colonial Belle picture from left to right (which you are culturally trained to do), you can see one aunts’ sexy legs, one aunt hiding from paparazzi behind a fun red hat, and one aunt lecturing the children; then in the restaurant picture, there is another aunt smiling at you. Four out of six visiting aunts pictured isn’t bad, I guess.

So, when I opened up your blog today I was greeted by the Beastie Boys “Hey Ladies.” Oh YESSSSSS. Riviera 1995, baby!! If only it was followed by “Fake Plastic Trees” by Radiohead and a commentary by Ms. Emily about how great ThomYorke looks in those pants, my day would be complete.

Great idea for a blog post, Abbey: Thom Yorke knows how to wear pants!

That’s actually Meg’s hand lecturing the kids. If you look closely you’ll see one of my hands on my bag and the other on the rail.

Don’t try and make me the boring aunt!

Oh yes, look at that. Although I hardly think lecturing nieces makes you “boring.”
