I don’t want to alarm you, but my grocery store got new carts. ALL new carts. A total over-haul. If you don’t think that is blogworthy, you don’t go shopping enough.

Carts often determine where and when I shop and what I buy. For example, at BJs, we always get a car cart: with the kids out of the cart there is enough room for bulk toilet paper and the aisles there are all big enough to comfortably maneuver. There are a few stores that have carts with two seats attached in the front: Lily favors these, but sometimes Peter rebels. If I can, I’ll use these at Target, where the aisles are wide, and avoid them at the grocery store. At the grocery store, I always try to get a regular cart because the check-out aisle are so tight. Of late, Peter has wanted to sit in the seat by the push handle, and we put Amos’ car-seat inside the cart. That eliminates big-time shopping, but also eliminates Peter wandering the aisles.

I don’t know what I am going to do with these new carts. The car seat will clearly work on the front, but it looks like in-cart rides may have to be curtailed. Hmmmm…this could be problematic.
